YORK COUNTY – The York County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign between Dec. 11 and Jan. 1. The focus was to reduce impaired driving during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season. Sgt. Taylor Samek said deputies made 200 total contacts and issued 55 citations, during that time. In total, there were two arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol, two arrests for driving under the influence of drugs and two felony arrests, made by the deputi9es working the initiative.
