Zoning/planning commission wrapping up county’s comprehensive plan, work to get underway regarding draft of zoning regulations

​YORK – The York County Zoning and Planning Commission is wrapping up its work on the county’s update of the comprehensive plan. The next step will be to work on the updating/cleaning up of the county’s zoning regulations – which is part of the entire comprehensive plan process.
York County Zoning Administrator Nate Heinz met with the York County Commissioners Tuesday morning to talk about the process.
He said drafts would be sent to the commissioners.
And a meeting of the zoning/planning commission will take place on June 15, in the courthouse basement, at 5:30 p.m.
“I’ve been asked to invite all of you (the county board members) to sit in with them as they go through everything over the course of a few hours,” Heinz said.
