York County - Roads
![]() The York County Highway Department is responsible for over 1000 miles of concrete, asphalt, gravel and dirt roads. Our crews complete a variety of tasks, from building new roads to cutting brush in the ditches. We maintain and inspect bridges, build driveways, replace culverts, lay asphalt paving, cut trees, spread gravel, operate motor graders and move snow.
We understand that county transportation infrastructure is critical to rural life in Nebraska. Serving the farmers, businesses and residents of York County is our pleasure. We take pride in what we do, and we strive to operate efficiently and safely. Our goal is to have the highest level of service at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers. Our work can be challenging, so please slow down if you see us on your roads. Give us a wave as you pass by. You can be sure that we are doing our best to ensure safe roads and bridges for you and your family. Your feedback is important and always welcome. Give us a call at (402) 362-5573.
