York County Sheriff's Department

Welcome to the York County Sheriff's Department, a full service law enforcement agency. We are responsible for maintaining peace and enforcing the law in rural areas of York County, including all rural and villages without a police department. The office investigates criminal offenses, traffic accidents; enforce traffic laws, and death investigations. Other duties include collecting delinquent property taxes, execution of court orders, serving civil process, serving warrants, extradition of prisoners from other states, transporting prisoners to and from the courts and providing security services to the courts.

We are dedicated to providing professional services by exemplifying honor, integrity, honesty, compassion, leadership, and respect while conducting ourselves with supreme ethical standards and preserving the constitutional rights of all.

The York County Sheriff's Department strives to provide highly trained and professional staff that will protect life and property through enforcement of regulations, ordinances, and laws. The staff pledges a commitment to public service while also providing non-enforcement assistance to citizens in need.
