Our Mission

To promote the well-being of older York County residents, by providing information and education and developing and advocating for services that assist these citizens to maintain independence and quality of life and make informed choices about their long-term care needs.
York County Aging Services is advised by a citizen's advisory board called the Aging Services Commission. Members are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners. Each member represents a community within York County. |
Services
Information and Assistance
Designed to inform and educate older persons and their families about programs and services available and to refer and connect individuals to appropriate resources.
Home and Community Based Care
Our knowledgeable care manager helps older persons and their families understand and navigate the complex long-term community-based system and where possible, access services and supports they need to remain in their own home.
Nutrition and Wellness
Provides a variety of nutrition services and wellness activities including Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, foot clinics, nutrition education, and the annual York County Health Fair.
Outreach and Education
Our office offers free presentations that educate and inform about a variety of topics regarding older adults and caregiving.
Insurance and SHIP Counseling
Assists individuals apply for programs including Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and Homestead Exemptions. Nebraska Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) qualified staff provide free assistance during Part D Open Enrollment.

Golfing with Grandparents
|
Golfing with Grandparents is a fundraiser for York County Aging Services to continue its congregate meal program at the York Area Senior Center. This meal program provides home cooked meals in house for Seniors to eat and enjoy a more social environment than what’s at home. It’s healthier for their mind and body.
Golfing with Grandparents is a 9-hole scramble with flag prizes. A relaxed team event for grandparents and grandchildren to team up and play golf. We accept teams of 2 (one adult and one child 5yr +). The registration cost is $70 for everything together. We have flag prizes and top 3 team scores prizes. Register now! |
