YORK – Today, Friday, Oct. 25, is the last day to register to vote for those who want to participate in the 2024 General Election.
Registrations, at this point in the timeline leading up to the election, must be done in-person, at the York County Courthouse, at the clerk/election office. In order to qualify as a registered voter:
YORK COUNTY – The 2024 General Election Day is nearly here as Tuesday, Nov. 5, is right around the corner.
YORK – On Monday morning, Oct. 7, early in-person voting started in Nebraska and York County residents were turning out in significant numbers.
YORK COUNTY -- The early voting process is now underway and ballot requests, so far, have been high according to York County Clerk Mary Melby.
Melby said as the date arrived for ballots to be sent by mail to those registered voters who requested them, they have sent out approximately 300 so far. General Elections, which include the selection for United States president, are typically higher in interest than other elections. This particular election also includes many important local decisions, including whether or not a $39.5 million bond issue should happen in order to greatly expand the York Elementary School. There are also a number of local races for city and village board seats to be considered. Registered voters can go to the York County website and make applications for ballots to be sent to them. Meanwhile, early voting at the courthouse will begin soon. Melby said registered voters will have the option to vote early, in person, at the courthouse, starting Monday, Oct. 7. Individuals can also go to the courthouse in person and request a ballot which they can take home with them. However, the ballots have to be received by 8 p.m., on General Election Day, in order to be counted. YORK – This year’s General Election holds many very important races and issues to be determined.

YORK – Interested individuals who want to file as write-in candidates for the General Election in November have until Oct. 25 to file with the county clerk’s office.
YORK – Voter registration is encouraged for those who have not yet done so and want to participate in the November General Election.
YORK COUNTY – The races for local village board seats have been set for the November General Election, as the last deadline has been reached.
YORK COUNTY – Today, Aug. 1, is the last day for non-incumbents to file their intentions to run for seats on their village boards.
YORK COUNTY – The deadline has been reached for village board incumbents to file their intentions to run again for office.
