YORK – “Well, they are allowed to do it so I guess we say yes.”

YORK – The York County Commissioners have agreed to change the internet and phone providers for all the county offices – both in the courthouse and in outside locations – in an effort to reduce the number of service outages.

YORK – Since the last meeting of the York County Commissioners, when a constituent expressed concern about the extreme dust coming from white rock-surfaced county roads, they’ve heard more comments. 

YORK – Permissive exemption applications for entities which have had allowable property tax exemptions in the past must be sent in soon, as the deadline is nearing.

YORK – York County has been photographed, from the sky, as it has been for many years for assessment purposes – but this time, it was done in a new way that will provide high-tech imagery.

​YORK – When the York County Commissioners convened in regular session Tuesday morning, Dec. 26, Chairman Randy Obermier reflected on the service of the late Commissioner Woody Ziegler, who unexpectedly passed away 10 days ago (since their last meeting) and was laid to rest last Friday. 

​YORK COUNTY – The York County Sheriff’s Department, along with many local agencies, responded to emergency calls today as a result of the hazardous driving conditions caused by the weather. 

YORK – The York County Commissioners have given the go-ahead for York County Juvenile Diversion officers to also serve Polk County. 

YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session next Tuesday, Dec. 26, it will be their last meeting in 2023. 

YORK COUNTY – Virginia Faye, who lives on Road E in rural York County, says she’s very concerned about the intense white rock dust coming up from the county road along her home.
