YORK COUNTY – The York County Commissioners took care of some budgeted fund transfers this week, when they met in regular session. They moved $250,000 from the inheritance tax fund to the reserves fund, which they had already approved during the budget process earlier this year. This will help build the reserves, in the case of an emergency.
The county board members also moved forward with transferring $55,000 from the inheritance fund for the purchase of a sheriff’s cruiser – also a transfer which had been approved during the budget process. Other “housekeeping” actions were taken this week, including the renewal of the agreement between the county’s aging services and the York Senior Center. This agreement provides the ability of aging services to serve their congregate meals at the senior center. They also approved the designated the county depositories for 2024, an action which is taken each year at this time. The depositories are Cornerstone Bank, Henderson State Bank, Midwest Bank, Nebraska Public Agency and Trust, and York State Bank. Comments are closed.
