WACO – The York County Sheriff’s Department has released information regarding an earlier shooting in Waco and the subsequent arrest of a 60-year-old man. The sheriff’s department says they were dispatched to Waco in reference to a physical disturbance which had escalated to a shooting. Upon their arrival, deputies located Brian Mulder, 60, who had suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm. Deputies and Waco Fire and Rescue provided first aid to Mulder who was eventually transported to York General Hospital for further medical treatment.
The investigation, the sheriff’s department says, uncovered how “Mulder was involved in a verbal altercation which led him to assaulting the other party with a blunt object. As a result, the other party shot Mulder in self-defense. An arrest warrant was applied for and issued by the York County Court for the arrest of Mulder in relation to this incident.” On March 11, officers with the Lincoln Police Department contacted Mulder during a call for service and as a result took Mulder into custody without incident. He was eventually transported and lodged at the York County Jail on charges of use of a weapon to commit a felony, second degree assault and third-degree assault. Comments are closed.
