YORK – When the York County Commissioners convene for their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 5, the topic of solar project zoning will be the main focus. During their last regular meeting, the commissioners went over each page, each point of the proposed zoning regulations pertaining to solar projects, which were recommended to them by the York County Planning and Zoning Commission. Each commissioner spoke to changes they wanted to make.
During their next meeting, they will go back over those proposed changes, discuss them further and work toward a final draft. They are also scheduled to meet with Javier Fernandez, Omaha Public Power District’s president and CEO. He has asked to be on the agenda, in order to address the county board members. They will also handle regular business such as payroll and vendor claims, funding transfers and committee reports. The public is welcome to attend the meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioner’s meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse. Comments are closed.
