York County Assessor’s office offering mobile offices to help with homestead exemption applications4/4/2024
YORK COUNTY – The York County Assessor’s office will be out and about, providing assistance for those filing homestead exemption applications. York County Assessor Kurt Bulgrin said his office “is gearing up for a busy April. For the first time, we will be conducting mobile offices across the county for individuals who would like assistance with filing a homestead exemption application.”

Bulgrin also wanted to note personal property returns are due to the assessor’s office on or before May 1. “Any returns received or postmarked after this date will be subject to at 10% penalty of the tax due,” Bulgrin reminds taxpayers. “Returns received or postmarked after July 1 will be subject to a 25% penalty of taxes due. State law does not allow for the waiver of penalties.
