YORK – The York County Sheriff’s Department is urging Waco area residents to watch for suspicious vehicles and thefts of items from pivots. A deputy with the YSO said Monday morning they had received two separate reports of such thefts from farmers south of Waco.
Both farmers said multiple small copper wire spools were stolen from their pivots. One theft was in the vicinity of Road S and Road 13. The other was in the area of Road 8 and Road S, the deputy said. The value of loss had not yet been estimated. Everyone is asked to watch for vehicles in the rural areas that seem to be out of place, as well as people they don’t recognize in the rural areas. If a farmer is a victim of such a theft, they are asked to report it to the sheriff’s department. Comments are closed.
