YORK COUNTY -- During a traffic stop on Sunday morning, Feb. 18, at 11:24 a.m., the York County Sheriff's Department found 400 pounds of high grade marijuana during a traffic stop. According to the Sergeant Taylor Samek, the deputy conducted the stop on a 2024 Coachman Pursuit motorhome near Mile Marker 354.
"Throughout the traffic stop, the deputy observed multiple indicators that led him to believe the driver was involved in criminal activity," Sergeant Samek said. The deputy deployed his police service dog, Loki, on the vehicle, with the Loki indicating the odor of controlled substances coming from inside the motorhome. A search of the vehicle was conducted where deputies located approximately 400 pounds of marijuana in the back of the motorhome. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the York County Jail on suspicion of marijuana trafficking charges. Comments are closed.
