YORK – During a traffic stop on Tuesday, a deputy with the York County Sheriff’s Department seized 45 pounds of marijuana, as well as cocaine and methamphetamine. According to the YSO, a deputy stopped a Ford F-150 pickup in the parking lot of the Petro gas station, south of Interstate 80, in York, for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
During the search, deputies found 45 pounds of high grade marijuana, one pound of methamphetamine and one ounce of cocaine. The driver, Apolinar Cruz Sanchez of Salinas, California, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, no drug tax stamp, possession of more than a pound of marijuana. A passenger, identified as Elvira Garcia Sanchez of Salinas, California, was arrested on the same charges. Comments are closed.
