YORK – York County Sheriff Captain Josh Gillespie has marked the completion of his 20th year as York County DARE instructor.

​YORK – The York County Sheriff’s Department will again be participating in the “Buckle Up, Every Trip, Every time” mobilization over the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. 

YORK COUNTY – The York County Sheriff’s Department recently applied for and has now received grant funding through the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office’s Special Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP). 

YORK -- At 3:41 p.m., Friday, York County Sheriff Paul Vrbka confirmed a 33-year-old woman from Lincoln died from her injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 81 and West Fourth Street, on the west side of York, which occurred shortly before 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 3.

​YORK – Dustin Marvel, a government and community relations/public affairs strategist for the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), provided an update for the county commissioners, regarding a recent community meeting held in McCool Junction, to talk with community members about the proposed solar field project in that part of the county.
