 YORK – Work is still underway for the installation of a fire suppression system in the York County Jail.

 YORK – A $100,000 visitors improvement grant will provide funding for the third phase of renovation/restoration work in the York City Auditorium.
 YORK – This past week, the York City Council signed off on an updated interlocal agreement with York County for the emergency communications center.
 YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session, on Tuesday, Nov. 25, they will consider a number of agreements, a grant application and surplus inventory for the York County Roads Department.
 YORK – Many people were in attendance for an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony this week, at the Four Corners Health Department office.
 YORK – The most recent meeting of the York County Commissioners marked the first since Harvey Keim resigned his position as highway superintendent and the new supervisors for the roads department made their report.
YORK – After reviewing insurance options from Cornerstone Insurance and the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO), the York County Commissioners have agreed to stay with Cornerstone Insurance as the county’s broker and to stay with the carrier from last year, Medica.
 YORK – The installation of internet fiber in southern York County, in the second round of work by Glenwood Telecommunications, has been completed.
 YORK – The York County Commissioners will be meeting at 5 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 10, rather than at 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 11, because Tuesday is Veterans Day.
 YORK – York County might be getting some good news in the near future as health insurance cost increases might be lower than seen last year.
